Note on this document: This is a working draft based on Wingman's actual features and data practices as of this writing. It is meant to get you to a submission-ready, accurate policy quickly — it is not a substitute for review by a licensed attorney, and should be reviewed by one before Wingman is rolled out broadly beyond a closed test group. Replace all bracketed placeholders before publishing.
Wingman ("we," "us," "the app") is a peer coordination platform that helps members of private organizations (Greek life chapters and similar groups, referred to in the app as "Circles") organize volunteer sober rides among their own members. Wingman is not a licensed transportation company, does not employ drivers, and does not provide transportation services itself — it is a coordination tool used by members of an organization to arrange rides among themselves.

We use the information above to: - Operate the ride coordination features of the app (matching riders and drivers, tracking ride status, showing live location during active rides) - Send push notifications for ride updates, safety alerts, shift reminders, and group announcements - Allow your Circle's admins to manage membership, review ride activity within their own Circle, and respond to safety events - Maintain the security and reliability of the app, including diagnosing crashes and abuse - Enforce our Terms of Service
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Because Wingman is built around private organizational groups, some of your information is visible to other people within your own Circle — this is a core part of how the app works, not a third-party data share:
Wingman relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each processes a limited set of data necessary for its function:
These providers may process data outside your local jurisdiction. We only share the data each service needs to perform its specific function.
Wingman includes an SOS feature that lets you alert your Circle's admins during an active ride. When triggered, it sends your location (if available) and ride details to your Circle's admins.
Wingman's SOS feature is not connected to 911 or any official emergency response service, and does not replace calling 911. In a genuine emergency, always contact local emergency services directly.
When you delete your account, we immediately revoke your login access and remove your active driver and group membership records. Your ride history is retained after account deletion, since it forms part of the ride record for other members involved in those rides (drivers, co-riders) and your Circle's own safety records.
If you have ever sent an SOS alert, certain account fields (name, phone number, vehicle details) may be retained in an anonymized or restricted form rather than fully deleted, so that safety and security records connected to that alert remain intact and reviewable. Your login access is still fully and immediately revoked in this case — you will not be able to sign back in.
We do not currently offer a way to request removal of historical ride records tied to other users' ride history. If you have questions about your specific data, contact us at austin.ashe@icloud.com.
Wingman is intended for use by members of college and university organizations and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Material changes will be communicated in-app.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to austin.ashe@icloud.com.
